James L. Lymaster

James L. Lymaster, 81, of Pine Grove, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 at his home.

Born on Oct. 19, 1931, in Pine Grove Township, he was a son of the late William and Helen Christ Lymaster.

James was a member of the Oak Grove Brethren Chapel.

James worked as a truck driver for H.M. Felty Trucking and Maurer Trucking. He was a member of the Teamsters.

James was a corporal in the Army during the Korean Conflict, having served with the Co. C, 3rd Engr. C Btn. He received the AOM (Japan), Korean Service Medal w/1 BSS and the UN Service Medal. He was a member of the Pine Grove VFW Post 3234, and the Pine Grove American Legion, Post 374.

Preceding James in death were his wife, Gertrude C. Motter Lymaster, on June 21, 1998; a brother, William Lymaster; two grandchildren, Tina Dillon and Thomas Lymaster; and a stepdaughter, Marilyn Hill.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Walters Lymaster; three sons, James Lymaster Jr., Lebanon, David Lymaster and Rodger "Chop" Lymaster, both of Pine Grove; nine stepchildren, George "Butch" Yorty Jr., Schuylkill Haven, John Yorty, Tremont, Linda Felty, Pine Grove, William Reber, Charles Reber, Ronald Reber, Robert Reber, Frank Reber and Ann Scheider, all of Lebanon County; 15 grandchildren, many stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Gebhard, Manheim, and Hattie Moyer, Richland.

Services were held Friday, Aug. 23 at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with the Rev. Ronald Stump Jr., officiating. Interment followed in the Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Brethren Chapel, c/o Ronald Stump Sr., 384 Mountain Road, Pine Grove, PA, 17963, in his memory.
