James H. Koppenhaver of Liverpool, NY died June 23, 2013.

He was born August 30, 1934 in Valley View, the son of the late Harry and Katie Koppenhaver.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Daisy Koppenhaver and his sister, Ethel Koppenhaver.

Jim was a graduate of the former Hegins Township High School, Hegins PA and continued on to receive an Electrical Engineering degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Syracuse University.

He was an active member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Mattydale, NY. He was a member of the choir for many years and served on various committees. Jim served four years in the Air Force and worked for General Electric for 35 years.

Jim is survived by his children, Lori (Tim) Tobias of Liverpool, NY, Kevin Koppenhaver of Seabeck, WA and Ken Koppenhaver of Fairport, NY; grandchildren, Jeremy Tobias, Chris (Hillary) Tobias, Justin Tobias, and Alyssa Tobias; great-grandchildren, Madison and Melia; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, July 1, at Maurer Funeral Home, Moyers Corners, 3451 Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY. Interment was in Pine Plains Cemetery on Henry Clay Blvd., Liverpool, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Liverpool First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund; 604 Oswego Street Liverpool, NY 13088.
