James A. "Jimmy" Tobin, 36, of Tower City, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at his home.

Born in Pottsville, February 13, 1977, he was a son of Allen "Jim" and Betsy (Carl) Tobin, Tower City.

He was a 1995 graduate of Williams Valley High School and a graduate of Thompson Institute, Harrisburg.

Before becoming ill Jimmy was a dedicated employee at Metal Industries, Hegins where he worked as a production engineer.

He was an active member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City, where he served on the Board of Trustees; youth group leader. building committee and men in victory choir. He was always willing to lend a hand or help in anyway he could.

He enjoyed hunting and being outside, he was a member of the Brookside Hunting Club. Jim's life revolved around his family. He enjoyed baking and making homemade wine.

He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents, Allen "Les" and JoAnn Tobin and maternal grandfather, Mel Carl.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Rhonda L. (Raker) Tobin; one son, Malachi J. Tobin, at home; two step-children, Destinee and Austin Johnson, both at home; one sister, Amanda Wenrich and her husband, David "Jr", Tower City; Maternal grandmother, Eva Carl, Tower City. aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Following Jim's wishes all services will be private at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers. Donations should be made to the Malachi J. Tobin Trust Fund, c/o Mid Penn Bank, 545 E.
