Irene Mae Dinger, 100, of Waterbridge Manor in Pine Grove, formerly of Donaldson, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.

Born in Hegins, Aug. 20, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Nate and Mabel Troup Klouser.

She was a retired garment worker. She loved to sew and do crafts and home decorations, and loved her cat.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin "Lee" Dinger, in 1971; a son, Leroy Dinger; and a great-grandson.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary, wife of Gene Ferrebee, Pine Grove; four sons, Lamar, husband of Dorothy Artz, Pine Grove, Earl, Newtown, Richard, husband of Judy, Donaldson, and Gerald, husband of Sandy, Mollystown; a daughter-in-law, Sally Dinger, Pine Grove; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, Sept. 25, from The Minnig-Berger Funeral Home, Tremont. The Rev. Maureen Duffy-Guy officiated. Interment was in Donaldson Community Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, Pine Grove.
