Helen Isabelle Coleman, 88, of 103 Grove Drive, Hegins, died Sunday, Jan. 31, at Schuylkill Medical Center- East, Pottsville.
She was born on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1921 in Hegins, a daughter of the late William Schwartz and the late Maude (Stutzman) Schwartz.
She had been employed at the former Starr Poultry, Valley View and the Twin Valley Farmers Exchange, Hegins.
She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and gardening.
She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray H Coleman on Dec 18, 2004. She was also preceded in death by a brother William Schwartz and by two sisters Marie Herb and Tillie Huntzinger.
She is a survived by four sons, Teddie L Coleman and his wife Claire of Hegins, Ronald R Coleman and his wife Marcella of Hegins, Larry T Coleman and his wife Rachelle of Hegins, and Garry W Coleman and his wife Koreen of Hegins; three daughters, Darlene F Kiesel and her husband Edward of Valley View, Mary L Coleman and her companion Pierre Olivan of Hershey, and Ruth Ann Henry and friend Gary F Riberdy of New Columbia; twenty grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren; a brother Robert Schwartz of Hegins; and a sister Margaret Markowitz of Newville.
Funeral services were held at Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins, on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Claude Schach officiating. A viewing was held at the church.
Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins
