Harry G. Snyder, 64, of 851 Pottsville St., died Sunday, Oct. 21 at his residence after suddenly being stricken ill.
Born Sept. 10, 1948, in Sunbury, he was a son of Gene D. and Betty (Herrold) Snyder, of Dalmatia, and was a lifetime resident of Herndon.
He was a 1966 graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School.
On Jan. 9, 1966, in Sunbury, he married the former Darlene Hause, who survives.
He was the president/owner of H. Snyder Auto Sales, Herndon.
Harry was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Herndon, a life member of the Herndon Fire Company and Americus Hose Company, Sunbury. He was also a member of Herndon Lodge No. 702 Free and Accepted Masons, Mandata American Legion Post No. 504, Erdman Sportsmen's Club, the Sunbury Social Club and Selinsgrove Moose.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Ginger Lagerman and her husband, Albert Jr., of Herndon; three grandchildren, Mara Snyder and her husband, Jesse, Kelsey Lagerman and Madison Lagerman, all of Herndon; four sisters, Peggy Starr and her husband, Gary, of Dalmatia, Ann Walshaw, of Herndon, Carol Drumheiser and her husband, Robert, of Selinsgrove, and Mary Renn and her husband, Scott, of Herndon; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William and Barb Hause, of Sunbury, Bonnie and Miles Jones, of Lewisburg, Scott Roadarmel, of Barto, and Jeanette and Bob Lichter, of Waterloo, N.J., and 19 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Snyder, in 1992.
Funeral services were held October 25 at Himmel's Lutheran Church, Rebuck, with the Rev. Frederick Faust officiating. Burial followed in the Herndon Cemetery. The Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, was in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to Zion Lutheran Church, P.O.
