Hannah Neva Schwartz, 93, of 55 Penny Lane, Hegins, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on Friday, April 11, 1919, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Harvey Huntzinger and Katie Maus Huntzinger.

She and her late husband owned and operated several farms in the area.

She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.

She was also a member of the former Gratz Grange.

Hannah enjoyed flowers, crocheting, and quilting. She and her late husband enjoyed traveling; they visited all of the fifty states.

Her husband, Robert A. Schwartz, died in 2011. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanore K. Raup; a grandson, Wilmer Maurer, Jr.; three brothers, Harl Huntzinger, Irvin Huntzinger, and James Huntzinger; and four sisters, Beatrice Schrope, Flossie Scheib, Rosa Shade, and Kathryn Klinger.

She is survived by a son, Robert W. Schwartz and his wife Judith of Gratz; a daughter, Marjorie B. Maurer and her husband Wilmer of Hegins; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchilden; fifty-seven great great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Miller of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins, on Friday, Feb. 22, with Rev. Michael C. Klahr officiating.

Burial was in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.

Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.
