Evelyn S. Noblit, 85 , of 990 Medical Road, Millersburg, and formerly of Enders Road, Halifax, died July 4, 2013 at Manor At Susquehanna Village.

She was born March 11, 1928 in Millersburg, a daughter of the late Ira A. Bechtel Sr. and Mary S. (Strawser) Bechtel.

She was a graduate of the Elizabethville High School, class of 1946.

She had retired from the former Willits Shoe Factory, Halifax.

She is a member of St. Peter's "Fetterhoffs" Lutheran Church, Halifax and was involved as a youth Sunday school teacher, former Council member, and former adult Bible class member.

She was a certified phone operator for the Civil Air Patrol during WWII.

Evelyn had memberships with the Elizabethville Senior Citizens; Halifax Senior Citizens, and Red Hats at the Manor @ The Susquehanna Village.

She enjoyed her garden, flowers, crafts and going to her grandchildren's activities.

She was the widow of Ralph C. Noblit.

Survivors include a son, Lynn R. Noblit, companion of Hilda Baker, Halifax; two daughters, Linda A., wife of John Lucas, Lykens and Lori J., wife of Terry Henninger, Elizabethville; sister, Clara Snyder, Lykens; five grandchildren, Troy Lucas, husband of Swee Wei Tan, San Diego, CA, Roger Lucas, companion of Tanya Brant, Halifax, Vickie (Lucas) Maletteri wife of Michael, Lancaster, Jason Henninger, husband of Jill, Shippensburg and Tyler Henninger, Elizabethville; 6 great-grandchildren, Evan Lucas, San Diego, CA, Noah Lucas, Halifax, Joshua Lucas, Halifax, Mya Maletteri, Lancaster, Raegan Maletteri, Lancaster and Jensen Henninger, Shippensburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Mary Lou Noblit; brother, Ira A. Bechtel, Jr..

Services were held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville on Tuesday, July 9, with the Rev. Michael Petresky officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, ELizabethville.
