Eugene D. Dubbs, 77, of Tower City, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Good Spring, January 26,1937, he was a son of the late Williard J. and Marian Hain Dubbs.

Gene was a 1955 graduate of Tower City High School.

He was a retired truck driver, working numerous jobs including driving with PA Truck Lines, delivering mail to Washington DC.

He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City, where he was in charge of the Sunday coffee social.

He was a 55 year member of the Porter Tower Lions Club. He was also a social member of the Williamstown American Legion and the Teamsters Union.

Gene enjoyed spending time with his family, and had a great interest in antique cars and trucks.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his step-mother, Dorothy Gehres Dubbs and a brother, Robert Dubbs.

Surviving are his wife, Irene Shreve Dubbs, to whom they would have celebrated 56 years of marriage on February 22; one son, Gene D. Dubbs, Tower City; one daughter, Teri Ann Scheib and her husband Brian Sr., Wiconisco; two grandchildren, Dennis J. Dubbs, Ohio and Brian Scheib, Jr., Tower City; one great-grandson, Brian Eugene Robert Scheib; one brother, Kenneth Dubbs, DE, one sister, Carol Kohr, Palmyra; half sister, Bonnie Fortna, NC and a step-sister, Betty Gehres, NY; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City with Rev. Linda Bonfiglio officiating followed by a meal and time of fellowship.

In lieu of flowers donations should be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 415 E. Grand Avenue, Tower City, PA 17980.
