Ethel M. Johns, 96, of Medical Road, Millersburg, died Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Manor at Susquehanna Village.

She was born in Mifflin Township, October 11, 1916, a daughter of the late John and Stella (Markel) Heckert.

She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Valley View. She was a member of the Woodman of the World and the Tri- Valley Senior Citizens Group.

She was the widow of Robert Luther Johns.

Survivors include , a son, John Johns, and wife Susan, Hegins; two daughters; Marion M., widow of Dean Zerbe, Valley View and Norma J., wife of Harold Wolfgang, Dalmatia; sister, Helen Phillips, Sunbury. grandchildren, Carl Zerbe, Lillie Morgan, Amy Carl, Kim Perron, Jane Pinter, Gail Harner, David Wolfgang and Michelle Smeltz; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville on Friday, June 28, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Duane Bardo officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.
