Earl "Becky" A. Bordner, 79, of Bordner Road, Dornsife, died July 8, 2010 at ManorHealth Care Services in Sunbury. He had been in ill health since 2008.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Daisy (Ferster) Bordner. The couple married June 6, 1953.

Born June 5, 1931 on his family farm in Dornsife, he was a son of the late Herbie Oscar and Setta (Snyder) Bordner. He was stationed at Fort Dix serving with the Army but had to return home because of family health issues. Earl ran the family farm for many years, then worked at Shamokin Pack for eight years and retired from Michael Foods. He enjoyed hunting and trapping and in his later years collected scrap steel to sell.

Surviving are his wife, Daisy; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Florence Bordner of West Cameron Township and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Merlin Bordner and Guy Bordner; and a sister, Lorraine Reed.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home 1133 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, with Reverend Raymond Brown of Selinsgrove officiating. Private interment will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
