Dorothy L. Butsko, 86, of Tremont, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Seton Manor.

Born in Tremont, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Harry Lorenz, D.D.S., and the late Anna Laurie Lorenz.

After attending the former Immaculate Conception Parochial School, she graduated from Tremont High School in 1945.

She then graduated from Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in 1947.

She worked in the emergency room at the former Good Samaritan Hospital, later retiring from the hospital's outpatient oncology clinic in 1988.

She was a member of Most Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Tremont.

She was also a member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Retirees. Dorothy enjoyed reading and was a world traveler, having enjoyed the beautiful splendors of the world.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Andrew Butsko, on July 28, 2009.

Dorothy is survived by a brother, John "Jack" Lorenz (Phyllis), Cherry Hill, N.J.; a sister, Anna Gately (Glenn), Crestview, Fla.; nieces and nephews, including her caregivers, Bill and Linda Swartz, Minersville; great-nieces and great-nephews, including Daniel and Carolyn Brody; and her friend, Catherine Thomas, Saint Clair.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury St., Minersville. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, June 26, in Most Blessed Trinity Church, 113 Cherry St., Tremont. Interment was in Most Blessed Trinity Cemetery, Tremont.

Contributions may be made to the Most Blessed Trinity Church memorial fund.
