share thisDean C. “Pap” Harner, 69, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Pongo District Hospital.
He was born on July 13, 1940 in Sacramento, PA, the son of the late Gurney and Edna (Clark) Harner. He resided in Berrysburg, until his move to North Carolina.
He is survived by his long time companion, Lena Parks; daughters, Lisa, wife of Richard Troutman of Elizabethville, Lori, wife of Stephen Behm of Jonestown, Leslie, wife of Bill Girard of Williamstown; sons, Lynn, husband of Tina Honeycutt of Kannapolis, NC, and Lehr, husband of Angela Stiely of Big Run; 12 grandchildren and one great grandson. He is also survived by four brothers; Lester of Sacramento, Merlin of Pillow, Clair of Dalmatia and Derl of Spring Glen; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, Elizabethville, with The Rev. Nathan C. Minnich officiating.
