Darlette C. Acker , 73, of 207 Morea Rd, Frackville, died Thursday, Nov. 8, at Schuylkill Medical Center- E Norwegian, Pottsville.

She was born on Sunday, June 18, 1939, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Jacob and Lillie (Strausser) Masser.

She was a graduate of Tri Valley High School and worked in the garment industry, retiring from Jo-Ann Fabric in 2001. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and also attended the Frackville First United Methodist Church. Darlette was an avid reader, enjoyed crafts and loved her animals.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Annabelle Masser, and two brothers, Mark and Richard Masser.

She is survived by her husband Herman C. Acker, to whom she was married for 37 years. She is also survived by two daughters - Khris and her husband Stephen Yuslum of Wiconisco, Tammy Radel Wenrich and her husband Lynn of Valley View; son - Tommy Reabold of Shenandoah; Step-son - Terry J. Acker and his wife Lorraine of Nanticoke; 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; one sister - Mae Hess of Lykens.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with Pastor Sebastian Barret and Pastor Sue Ketterer officiating. Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
