share thisClara Amelia Wynn Erdman, 74, of Malta, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Geisinger Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Malta on September 22, 1935, Clara remained a lifelong resident. She was preceded in death by her parents Alma Ruth Zerbe Wynn and Edwin Raymond Wynn.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leon Walter Erdman, a sister Rena Wynn Kessler, Erdman and three sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis and Anna Erdman, Centreville, VA, Douglas and Mary Erdman, Muncy, and Gregory and Judy Erdman, Wyckoff, NJ.
Clara was blessed with eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her primary interests were antiquing, flowers and gardening, genealogy and print collecting. She was an avid reader, especially history and enjoyed classical music and show tunes.
Clara took great pride in her family and treasured her time with them. She loved nature and animals and had a kind and generous spirit.
A celebration of life service was held Saturday, Feb. 6, at St. Luke’s Church, Malta, with her nephew, Pastor Edwin Kessler officiating.
