Charles Franklin Gibson, 71, of Pine Grove, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Suedberg, June 11, 1941, he was a son of the late Paul L. and Hannah C. Wolfe Gibson.
Charles worked as a caretaker for Boyer Land Corp. for more than 20 years.
Charles was a lifetime member of the Old Forge Fishing Club. He was also a member of the Pine Grove Crime Watch.
A sister, Helen Hornberger, preceded him in death.
Surviving are three brothers, Robert L. Gibson, Franklin, N.C., George E. and wife, Karen Gibson, Pine Grove, and Clarence Gibson and companion, Kay Shadle, Muir; two sisters, Anna Mae Getz, Myerstown, and Sue Ann Kauffman, Pine Grove; 11 nephews, Paul Getz and wife, Robin, Roger Getz, Jacob Getz, Michael Hornberger, George Gibson and wife, Lisa, Robert Gibson and wife, Lennie, Paul Gibson and wife, Joyce, Lester "Junior" Kauffman Jr., Charles Kauffman and wife, Audrey, John Kauffman, and Richard Gibson and wife, Vicki; three nieces, Nanette, wife of Scott Holland, Angela, wife of Thomas Kramer, and Christina, wife of Paul Schaeffer.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Terry Jansma officiating. Interment was in Suedberg Church of God Cemetery, Pine Grove.
