Betty C. Adams, 79, of Williamstown, died Monday, Nov. 19, at the Harrisburg Hospital.

Born in Sound Bend, PA, July 2, 1933, she was a daughter of the late John and Luetta Beighley Wasson.

Betty was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Wiconisco. She was also a member of the ILGWU.

She was a former den mother for the cub scouts and boy scouts and also active with the girl scouts. Betty enjoyed sewing and gardening.

In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by two sisters, Grace Crisswell and Bertha Black.

Surviving are her husband Howard A. Adams, to whom she was married over 55 years; one brother, John Wasson, Texas; four sisters, Louise Coleman and Esther Baker, both of Leechburg, PA; Doris Renshaw, Harrisburg and Nancy Fondrk, Leechburg, PA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 26 from the Wesley United Methodist Church, Wiconisco, with Rev. Barbara Yorks officiating. Burial was in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's name should be made to the Williamstown American Legion, 123 W. Market Street, Williamstown, PA 17098 or the Williamstown EMS, P.O.
