Arlen S. "Butch" Zerbe, Jr., 67, of Tower City, died suddenly Tuesday, May 22, at his home.

Born in Orwin, November 25, 1944, he was a son of the late Arlen Sr. and Mildred Miller Zerbe.

He was a 1962 graduate of former Porter Tower High School.

He was the retired owner of the former Ryzer Pontiac Buick & GMC, Halifax.

Butch was the former president of the Almo Distributors, Baltimore MD; worked for many years as a salesman with D&H Distributions. He currently was the bookkeeper with Nativity School for Boys, Harrisburg, All Saints Episcopal Church, Hershey and the Grace United Methodist Church, Harrisburg.

He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Tower City where he was formerly involved with the madrigal.

He had a great love of music and was very active with the Schuylkill County Symphony where he served on the board of directors. He also enjoyed following the Williams Valley High School Band.

Surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins; his beloved goddaughter, Lindsay Matter, and many friends including Clair Heckler and his family, who was like a brother to Butch.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 29, from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City with Rev. Charles Oldland officiting. Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.
