Alberta M. Blyler, 92, of 824 W. Main Street, Valley View, died Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born on Friday, January 23, 1920, in Pitman, a daughter of the late Charles and Edna Kessler Ochs.

She and her late husband founded the Blyler Fruit Farm of Gratz in 1940.

She was a member of Church of God, Valley View.

She was also a member of Pennsylvania State Horticultural Association.

Alberta enjoyed scrap booking and needlework.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer C. Blyler in 1987. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ioma Smeltz and Betty Otto; and by a brother, Alton Ochs.

She is survived by a daughter, Eleanor M. Wolfe of Valley View; two sons, Elvin C "Bud" Blyler and his wife Dorothy of Spring Glen and John E. Blyler and his wife Diane of Spring Glen; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Ludella Tobias of Sinking Spring and Twila Artz of Fountain; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of God, Valley View, on Friday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Gerald Frey officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the church.

Burial will be made in Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
