Betty M. Masser, 86, a resident at the Manor at Susquehanna Village, formerly of Dalmatia and a long time resident of Florida died on Thursday, Jan. 14, at the manor.
She was the daughter of the late George and Mary Anna Leib Long.
She was the widow of Charles R. Masser and they were married for 59 years.
She was retired from the former Johnson-Bailee shoe factory in Millersburg.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sunset Harbor, FL and was active in the church choir and the ladies sewing circle at the church.
Survivors include her companion Elwyn Boyer of Pillow; a daughter Sharon Stauffer of Paxton; two sons Lahn and his wife Sue Ann of Paxton and Jerry of Summerfield, FL; Grandchildren Georgina Starr and her husband Troy of Valley View; Rhonda Joy and her husband Vance of New Cumberland; Brandy Faust and her husband Robert, Jr. of Malta ; Great grandchildren Tyler and Morganne Starr, Austin Lebo, Faith and Hope Joy, Robert, III and Shannon Faust. She was preceded in death by brothers Clark, Ralph, George, Charles, Earl, Ernest, Roland and sisters Linnie Schaffner, Violet Bingaman, Tessie and Daisey Long..
The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 10-11 a.m. at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Millersburg. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Donald Morgan officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
